April 27th saw the release of “Avengers: Infinity War”, the 19th film in Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, and Chris Pratt as Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow, Doctor Strange, War Machine, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Vision, Wanda Maximoff, Falcon, Winter Soldier, Okoye, Shuri, Drax, Gamora, Thanos, and Star Lord respectively.

This movie has been built up across 18 other movies before it since 2006. There is a lot that happens in this movie that is confusing if you haven’t seen the other movies. There are also several deaths in this movie, but for a list of those, check out my other article.

The plot of the movie centers around Thanos trying to get each of the “Infinity Stones” and to take over the world. The stones that we have discovered thus far are the Space Stone, Reality Stone, Time Stone, Power Stone, and the Mind Stone which were in the Tesseract from “Captain America: The First Avenger”, The Aether from “Thor: The Dark World”, The Eye of Agamoto from “Doctor Strange”, the orb from the first “Guardians of the Galaxy”, and Loki’s Scepter from “The Avengers” movie.

With The Mind Stone later being used to create Vision in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. The only one not revealed in a previous movie is the Soul Gem. Once again, go look at the spoiler filled review after this to see where it is.

The action in this movie is some of the finest Marvel has done yet. It’s action-packed when it needs to be, but it can also be funny and even sad and depressing at the same time. This might not be the best Marvel movie to date, but it is one of their best.
