The book club takes place once every quarter. Anyone can join–all you have to do is sign up in the library. According to the librarian, Ms. Fidel, there are many different types of books for students to choose from. “We choose [the books] from a wide variety of genres,” Ms. Fidel explained. “So we’ll have a graphic novel and a dystopian novel and an adventure novel… things like that.” The book club is the largest and most attended club in the whole school. There are no fees involved in signing up, and the only requirement is that students sign up in the library three or more days in advance. The first meeting will take place on Friday, September 25th at 7 a.m. in the library. And you can always sign up for the next one if you missed out on the first: “Even if [students] haven’t attended the first meeting, they can attend any meeting there on out.” Ms. Fidel looks forward to students attending.
